Triple I - Integration,
Interaction and Institutions
The Erasmus Mundus External Cooperation Window
(EMECW) is a cooperation and mobility scheme in the area of higher education
cooperation funded by the European Union. The EMECW objective is to promote the
exchange of persons, knowledge and skills at higher education level.
The Triple I - Integration, Interaction
and Institutions
is a consortium of nine European and ten Russian universities. The Consortium
is coordinated by the University
of Turku. Triple I mobility
scheme awards grants to students and staff of Russian and European Partner
Universities, but also to
Russian nationals not linked with the Partner Universities.
The objective of the Triple I Project is
to create an active network of Russian and European universities who cooperate
multidisciplinarily and multilaterally and promote innovation through joint
research, education, and exchange of experience and good practises. In
particular, the Triple I mobility scheme forms new connections and
links between partner universities and increases their capacity for
international and interdisciplinary cooperation. Triple I also
contributes to better recognition of studies through ECTS system.

Information for incoming students and staff members:
N.B! You are welcome to come to St. Petersburg State University
for the study period up to 10 months only (except the Faculty of Economics).
Student mobility.
Students may come to St. Petersburg State
University for an
exchange non-degree study period of 6 up to 10 months. In the framework of
EMECW project, international students can apply for study at the following
faculties:
Subject field “Economics
and Management” - Faculty of Economics (http://www.econ.pu.ru/wps/wcm/connect/Econ/main)
Courses within the framework of Master program “World Trade System” Language of instruction – English. N.B! You can apply for the study
period longer than 10 months.
Academic staff, doctoral and postdoctoral
researches may come to St.Petersburg
State University
to any of 19 faculties for the period
up to 10 months only.N.B.! If you choose a
faculty which is not mentioned above it is obligatory to have an invitation
signed by the Dean of the respective faculty.
Academic
terms and application deadlines.
Fall (1st)
Semester:
from 1st of September to 31st of January
Recommended dates of arrival: from 25th of August to 5th of September
Spring
(2nd) Semester:
from 14th of February to 1st of July
Recommended dates of arrival: from10th of February to 20th of February
Application package.
Additionally to the EM ECW package which you
can find on the web site of the University
of Turku, SPSU needs the
following documents:
- Invitation
signed by the Dean of the respective faculty (if necessary)
Russian
language course.
Russian language course is available for extra
fee only. The duration of course is 4 months. There are 2 types of Russian
language course available depending on the competence in Russian:
Fluent competence in Russian language: 8 hours
a week (32 academic hours per months)
- approx. EUR 896 for the course.
Beginner competence in the Russian language: 20
hours a week (80 academic hours per months)
- approx. EUR 2240 for the course.
If you have decided to take the Russian
language course, please fill in the Russia language course application
form (see the link above).
Additional fees.
- Living costs. There are two types of
dormitories in SPSU. The dormitories of the Vasilievsky campus cost approx. EUR
150-200 per person per month. The dormitories in Peterhof campus cost approx. EUR
55-140 per person per month. The location of the dormitory depends on the
faculty’s administration decision. Please visit www.campus.spbu.ru
to find more information about the accommodation at SPSU.
- Student travel card (for public transport) =
approx. EUR 13 per months.
- State duty payment = approx. EUR 10
Information for outgoing students and staff members:
All
the information about the application procedure can be found on the site of Turku University
(http://www.utu.fi/en/iii/index.html). Important:You need a recommendation letter
from the home university! It is provided by the Office for International and Foreign
Economic Affairs (Academic Cooperation and Students Exchange Dept.) basing on
the recommendation signed by the dean of the respective faculty.
